This was a project to create a typographic focused moving image sequence, based on the text of a poem— I Don’t Want to Lose by Mary Oliver. Aiming to convey the meaning of the poem visually in the animation, the style and motion were directly informed by the contents and visuals of the poem. For example, the use of light colours and varying opacities conveys the narrators dream-like imaginations and memories, while the use of angled shapes references different planes of consciousness, like being stuck between dream and reality.
